About Morning Tiger

Guests gathered around Morning Tiger’s charcoal grill and counter

Morning Tiger was born from a simple wish: to bring the warmth and comfort of a Japanese breakfast to the start of the day.

As co-founder, I share that wish through a meal centered on charcoal-grilled fish and freshly cooked rice.

The breakfast

Our signature silver salmon is marinated with kombu for umami, then grilled over charcoal.

Served with freshly cooked Yumepirika rice, it is a comforting meal to enjoy at the beginning of a new day.

Around the fire

At the heart of the restaurant is a charcoal grill inspired by Irori, the traditional Japanese sunken hearth and the culture of gathering around the fire.

Above it, layers of timber recall Koba-buki, the traditional Japanese craft of wooden roofing.
